Notes regarding the Clausell, Booker and Wiggins lines:

 

(1)  Research is continuing and names are being gathered (both historic and current information).  This page should be considered under construction.

 

(2)  Additional information is contained my my database.  Resources can be provided.  Corrections and additional information is welcome.

 

(3)  Little is known about the ancestry of Raymond Garrett, father of Raymond Anthony Garrett.  We are seeking additional information on his parents and grandparents.  We believe that he was born in the state of Georgia.    

 

(4)  It should be noted that the Garrett, Booker and Clausell lines are largely African American.  Much of the family history is documented in records maintained in Alabama, particularly in the Burnt Corn area.  Count Bertran Chousell (Clausell) was a French nobleman and was of the caucasian race.  He was an officer in Napoleon's army, serving in the south.  The Clausell line also appears to include American indian ancestry and Carib indian ancestry.  Some of the present family members have continued to create ethnically and racially blended families.
